Fruits & Vegetables: Dirty Dozen/Clean 15 Chart

Chart courtesy of Stonyfield
Since I find myself frequently referencing this chart, I thought I would share it with all of you.

The fruits and vegetables in the Dirty Dozen column are the ones that are the most laden with pesticides in their non-organic form.

The fruits and vegetables in the Clean 15 column are the ones that are the least laden with pesticides in their non-organic form.

Several of the items in the Dirty Dozen column are relatively simple for a home gardener to grow, even if you don't have the room for a large garden plot. I've successfully grown a potted bell pepper in a pot before.  Strawberries can also be successfully grown in pots.  I typically grow spinach in a pot on my deck as well.

If you'd like to download a printable copy of the chart, Stonyfield has made one available.
